Frameless Doors

Installation Methods

Frameless door systems can generally be installed using two different methods depending on the stage of construction and the desired wall finish.

1. Pre-Drywall Installation (Integrated Frame System)

This is the preferred method for new construction and full renovations.

In this process, the concealed aluminum frame is installed before the drywall stage. The frame becomes integrated within the wall structure, allowing the drywall to finish flush against the frame for a completely seamless appearance.

After drywall finishing, painting, and flooring are completed, the door slab, concealed hinges, magnetic locks, and hardware are installed and carefully adjusted.

This method creates the most refined and fully integrated frameless look.

2. Post-Drywall Installation (Retrofit / Finished Wall System)

This method is commonly used when drywall and wall finishes are already completed or during partial renovations.

In this system, the concealed frame is installed after the finished wall surfaces are in place. Minor wall preparation and adjustments may be required to achieve proper alignment and integration.

The door slab and hardware are then installed and calibrated to create a clean modern appearance while minimizing disruption to existing finishes.

Advantages:

• less invasive construction process
• faster installation in existing spaces
• maintains modern frameless aesthetics

While slightly different from fully integrated systems, this method still provides a sleek contemporary appearance with concealed hardware and refined detailing.
